Tioman Paradise Beach Island

Maps of Tioman
Tioman Island is a small island, 39km long and 12km wide, located off the east coast of peninsular Malaysia.

Tioman is in Pahang within the Mersing Marine Park, which contains fewer commercial islands such as Sibu Island. The primary gateway Mersing in Johor.
In 1970's, Time magazine selected Tioman as one of the world's most beautiful islands. The densely forested island is still sparsely inhabited. Also it is surrounded by numerous white coral reefs, making it a heaven for scuba divers from all over the world.

RM5 is a conversation fee to enter the island which started in June 2013. Most visitors arrived by ferry from Mersing. The ferry services are fast and comfortable taking approximate 2 hours to the first jetty in Tioman. The charges RM35 for an adult ticket and RM25 for a child ticket. The timetable is variable and depends on the tide.

While waiting for the ferry
We have a stayed in Kampung Air Batang for 3 days and 2 nights. The price range for the challet is not too high here but still in a good condition and comfortable.

On the next day, we go for island hoping by a boat. The price is RM85/person. So here’s a few pictures of us during the island hoping. We had so much fun yet so much sunburned hehehe

Next stop is the White Sand Beach. The water is super clear and...

the sand is super pearly white!

At night, we went to have a dinner at Sunset Bar near to Nazri’s Place at the end of the village. They served variety of alcohol and non-alcohol drinks, homemade pizzas and some other side dishes such as nuggets and fries.

So that’s the end of our story here in Tioman Island. Until we meet again in the next post. Bye!
